Christmas present
This shield with the Wedvick arms given to me by my daughter Jessica for Christmas was a complete surprise. The shield measures 24" high by 19 " wide of thin steel. The design was located by her on the internet and is by J. H. Gaylor done for me some years ago. My daughter primed and then painted the shield copying Gaylor's design. As an artist herself she used acrylic paints and then gave it two coats of varnish. My daughter and her husband were helping me to clear out a storeroom found the shield and liberated it with me being unaware of the fact. Needless to say I was thrilled and the shield is now mounted as you can see over my fireplace. Through this is the first picture to be shown it is the second in actual sequence, taken on Boxing Day. dqw 2015 1226
