SOURCES, NOTES & CREDITS: The source for the blazon is BGA, page 385, column 2, Background illustrations from page 172, column 2, & Page 132, “Creating Miniature Knights”, by Greenhill & Venturi, Scramasax, 2005, Firenze. Text by D.Q. Wedvick adapted from page 132, “Creating Miniature Knights”.

David Gamme was an esquire and bodyguard to King Henry V at the Battle of Agincourt and was killed defending, and thus saving the life of his king.

We have entered this relatively unknown hero in the SSA website and in our own armorial for his gallantry in action in the sacrifice of his life for another
on St. Crispin’s day 25 October 1415

The artwork is a rendition by John Hamilton Gaylor.
