Bishop Caggiano

Arms: Parted per pale; dexter Azure a bridge of three arches and crenelated between in chief a calvary cross and in base three barrulets wavy Argent; sinister parted per fess, in chief Azure a crescent Argent in dexter chief and in sinister base a winged sword palewise point downward Or the wings Argent, and in base Gules a pascallamb couchant Argent enhaloed Or with a cross paty Gules supporting with its dexter foreleg an open book Argent and over its shoulder on a staff Or a gonfannon Argent charged with the chi-rho Sable.

Frank Joseph Caggiano was born on 29 March 1959 in Brooklyn, NY, he was ordained as a priest on 16 May 1987 by Bishop Francis Mugavero. He was raised to the rank of Papal Chaplain by Pope John Paul II in 2003. Pope Benedict appointed him Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn on 6 June 2006 and he was consecrated on 22 August 2007.

On 31 July, Pope Francis appointed Bishop Caggiano as Bishop of the Diocese of Bridgeport, CT.
