Napier of Merchistoun, Sir Francis David Charles, the Lord Napier, Chief of the Name and Arms of Napier

Arms: Quarterly: 1st and 4th, argent a saltire engrailed between four roses gules ( for Napier); 2nd and 3rd, or on a bend azure a mullet pierced between two crescents of the field within a double-tressure, flory counterflory of the second (for Scott of Thirlestane).

The 15th Lord Napier (S), 6th Baron Ettrick (UK) & 12th Baronet of Thirlestane (NS), was born on 3 Nov 1962, married in 1993 Zara Jane, only daughter of Hugh Dermot McCalmont and has issue:
William Alexander Hugh, Master of Napier born 10 June 1996
and
Sophie Eleanor Rose born in 1999.

Lord Napier is the oldest son of Francis Nigel Napier, 14th Lord (Peerage of Scotland 1627); 5th Baron Ettrick, (UK, 1872); 11th Baronet of Thirlestane (NS, 1666), he succeeded to the peerages and baronetcy on his father's demise on 15 March 2012.
