Campbell, COL J. M.
Blazon: Gyronny of eight Or and Sable, on each gyron Or a mason’s hammer in bend sinister Sable, all within a bordure Vert with a martlet Or in center chief.

The arms were granted by Lord Lyon Joseph Morrow, CVO, CBE on Page 117 of the 93rd Volume of the Public Register of All Arms and Bearings in Scotland in and for the memory of the petitioner's Great, Great Grandfather Donald Campbell and matriculated down to the petitioner.

Colonel Joseph McDowell Campbell II, USAF, Retired, was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, USA in 1939, he received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University and a Master of Science (MS) in Aerospace Engineering from the (US) Air Force Institute of Technology.

COL Campbell married Ann Grace Bowman on 29 Dec 1962 and they have issue: a daughter, Catherine Ann Campbell born in 1968 and a son, Joseph McDowell Campbell III born in 1971. The Campbell family resides in Manderville, Louisiana, USA.

COL Campbell’s daughter Catherine Ann Campbell married on 12 Mar 1994 Richard Kenneth Brown and have four daughters: Mackenzie Ann, Shannon Elaine, Caitlin Martha and Erin Elizabeth. His son Joseph McDowell Campbell III married on 16 Aug 1997 Kristen Erin McDaniel and have two sons: Joseph McDowell Campbell IV and James Davis Campbell.

COL Campbell is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland and is a Member of the Society of Scottish Armigers. He is a Past President of the Clan Campbell Society of North America.
