McBain Guidon
SOURCE/NOTES & CREDITS: Blazon is from the matriculation. The Illustration
is from the Lyon Court matriculation and confirmation of the Arms of McBain
of McBain. Text is adapted from the above mentioned Matriculation. We wish to give
credit and thanks for the documents and assistance to the Historian of Clan McBean.

This Guidon was granted to Hughston Maynard McBain of McBain, Chief of the Name and Arms and hereditary Head of the Clan McBean, by Sir Thomas Innes of Learney, then Lord Lyon on 8 Mar 1960 in the Matriculation and Confirmation.

Blazon: a guidon unsplit, eight feet in length, and having the arms of McBain of McBain
in the hoist, the badge, a grey demi-catamountain as in the crest within chaplet of boxwood Proper set next to it upon his livery Azure, and the word “KINCHYLE” in letters Or.

The artwork is an interpretation by the Lyon Court artist who did the matriculation.
