Liam Devlin, KM, MA, BMus, Msc was born in 1954 and was appointed Unicorn Pursuivant in Ordinary at the Court of the Lord Lyon on 6 January 2016. Previously he was Linlithgow Pursuivant Extraordinary 2014-2016. Professionally Devlin is musician and teacher, having taught at the Universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh. He married Viviana Sichi in 1981 and they have two children: Amy Vittoria born in 1982 and Charles Augustus born in 1987. He is a Committee Member of the Heraldry Society of Scotland 2006- and a Knight of Magistral Grace of the Sovereign and Military Order of Malta 2015-

The last person to hold the position of Unicorn Pursuivant before Liam Devlin was Reginald John Malden 2012-2015.
