Archibald Angus Charles Kennedy, Marquess of Ailsa, born 13 Sep. 1956 – died 15 Jan 2015, age 58, . Lord Charles died suddenly while in Florida, USA, attending the Central Florida Highland Games.
He was the 8th Marquess of Ailsa, 10 Sep 1831 in the Peerage of the United Kingdom, 8th Baron of Ailsa of Ailsa, 12 Nov 1806 in the Peerage of the United Kingdom, 19th Earl of Cassillis, Oct 1509, in the Peerage of Scotland, 21st Lord Kennedy, 20 Mar 1457-58, in the Peerage of Scotland and Chief of the name and arms of Kennedy ( Clan Kennedy )
The heir presumptive to the Marquessate and presumably the Barony was and is his brother, Lord David Thomas Kennedy (b. 1958).
