Blazon: Vert, a chevron Or, semée of crosses crosslet Gules fitchée between, in chief two escallop shells Or and in base a fleur-de-lis Argent.

Bishop Mulvee was one of the three auxiliary bishops of the Diocese of Manchester to date and which was our diocese in our younger formative years so remains important in our life.

Bishop Robert Edward Mulvee was born in Boston, MA on 15 Feb 1930 and ordained a priest of the Diocese of Manchester, NH in Louvain, Belgium on 30 June 1957 by Archbishop Henry Joseph O’Brien, Archbishop of Hartford, CT.

He was appointed as the 1st Auxiliary Bishop of Manchester, NH, 1977 with his principal consecrator being Bishop Odore Joseph Gendron, Bishop of Manchester. and his co-consecrator Bishop Ernest John Primeau, Bishop Emeritus of Manchester.

Bishop Mulvee was then Appointed as 7th Bishop of Wilmington, DE on 19 Feb 1985, then Appt. as Coadjutor Bishop of Providence, RI on 9 Feb 1995 succeeding as 7th Bishop of Providence, RI on 11 June 1997. He resigned & retired as Bishop of Providence, RI at age 75 on 31 March 2005. He died at age 88 on 28 Dec 2018 and is buried at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, RI.
