Here we have the personal seal of Sir William Wallace only discovered in 1999. According to Dr. Fiona Watson, the seal identifies him as the younger son of Alan Wallace of Ayrshire who also appears in the 1296 Ragman Roll and was a “crown tenant in Ayrshire”.
