Christmas present

This shield with the Wedvick arms given to me by my daughter Jessica on 25 Dec 2015, Christmas Day, was a complete surprise ! The shield measures 24" high by 19 " wide of steel. My daughter primed and then painted the shield using acrylic paints and then gave it two coats of varnish. My daughter and son-in law were helping me to clear out a storeroom found the shield and liberated it with me being unaware of the fact. Needless to say I was thrilled and the shield is now mounted as you can see over my fireplace.
