Wayne Joseph Morgan, Colonel, 1st Special Forces (Regiment), AUS Ret. was born in 1946 and has been accepted as the head-of-family of the Morgan Sept of the Clan Mackenzie by John Ruaridh Grant Mackenzie, 5th Earl of Cromartie - Chief of Clan MacKenzie. He grew up in the Army and two sons are SF and Infantry Lieutenant Colonels. US Army Special Forces are a verra small group of special operators, mainly known to each other. We have two retired Special Forces men as close friends and both know and served with COL Morgan in that unique and brave organization, during his 37+ years of commissioned service. Today he and his wife live in the mountains of western North Carolina, a veritable hotbed of Scottish-American activity. We are privileged to call COL Morgan a friend. dqw 20100313
