Gaylor, Archibald Rae 2
Here is a new look at hatchments. Must the shape always be square? Why not try something similar, the artist decided to try a hatchment for his late father using a lozenge shape. We think this worked out extremely well. Also, these slim hatchments can be used for living armigers. We have no plans to go into the hatchment business however and so will not entertain requests for hatchments. From time to time one will be executed.

What we have here today is the hatchment for the late Archibald Rae Gaylor who was born on 3 Apr 1910 in Lanarkshire, and was granted arms by Lord Lyon James Monteith Grant on 16 Nov 1978. He died on 23 Dec 1996 at age 86 and was succeeded in arms by his son John Hamilton Gaylor.

The artwork is a rendering by John Hamilton Gaylor.
