Sir Archibald Douglas, 3rd Earl of Douglas and Lord of Galloway (1328-1400)
Sir Archibald Douglas the Grim's arms as Lord of Galloway to which he was appointed in 1369 by King David "becaus he tuke git trawell to purge the cuntrey of Englis blude".
Arms: Quarterly: 1st and 4th Argent a man’s heart Gules on a chief Azure three stars of the field (Douglas); 2nd and 3rd Azure a lion Rampant Argent crowned Or (Galloway).
